Campus location and directions King County Level 3 Green School Energy Star Certified In June 2020, Eastside Catholic was honored to be recognized as a Level 3 King County Green School for advancing conservation practices across campus. This recognition is part of the King County Green Schools Initiative , which supports schools in engaging students and staff in environmental education and sustainable practices. To achieve Level 3 status, schools must: Maintain Level One and Level Two conservation practices Implement an additional waste reduction, recycling or outreach strategy following the Level One Best Practices Guide Complete water conservation initiatives outlined in the Water Conservation Best Practices Guide This achievement was made possible by the passion and leadership of our student-led EC Green Team , along with the invaluable support of volunteers, mentors and the broader EC community. In 2012, Eastside Catholic earned ENERGY STAR certification from the U.S. EPA for superior energy performance. Certified buildings use 35% less energy and produce 35% fewer emissions than similar facilities.
