Celebrations 2026 - Lake Forest Academy Celebrations 2026 Class of 2026 Year-End Information Lake Forest Academy’s Graduation is on the horizon and May 30 will be here sooner than we can imagine! We hope that this webpage can serve as a dedicated place for you to visit and also allow your family to make the necessary arrangements for a memorable celebration. Your son or daughter has already been asked by the Dean of Students Office to check the spelling of his/her name for the diploma and to confirm his/her home city, state, and country for the graduation program. They have checked this information and necessary corrections have been made. This page contains general graduation information, including: attire for the graduates, guest information, seating information, and other relevant pieces of information. This page also contains a schedule for you to use as you make your travel arrangements so that you are aware of the events taking place that week leading up to May 30. We have also provided the order forms from the companies providing photography and videography on that day. Please contact them directly to place your order. The style of dress must be modest and appropriate for such an occasion. When you purchase shoes please take into consideration that students will walk on grass, stone, and up and down steep stairs (flats or dress sandals are recommended). Navy blue blazer, khaki/tan slacks in good repair, white or solid light-colored shirt, conservative tie, dress shoes, dark socks. All students will be provided a boutonniere or corsage by the school. Accommodations For your convenience, a list of local hotels has been provided on the LFA website. Access to Formal Gardens Graduation is in the Formal Gardens. In case of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the LFA Athletic Center. If you have family members with physical challenges then we recommend that you drive around to the back of Reid Hall to drop off your passenger and then park your car. Handicapped parking is available in front of The Cressey Center for the Arts. If you believe that you may need a parking pass then please contact Maura Johansson Guests Graduation is not a ticketed event. All parents and guests are invited to attend graduation and the dessert reception afterward at no charge. Invitations If you need an invitation for visa purposes then please contact Maura Johansson so that she can email you a letter. Photography/Videography Photography is provided by Stuart Rodgers. You may place orders for photos of your graduate or for family photos by completing this form , by contacting them directly, or by ordering online at www.srphoto.com . These photos are taken prior to the ceremony in the Formal Gardens. Videography is provided by Zaker Video. You may place orders for a DVD and digital link by completing this form , by contacting them directly, or by ordering online at www.zakervideo.com Seating Graduates process out of Reid Hall and walk the length of the Formal Gardens, coming down the middle aisle in single file. Students with last name starting with A-K will exit Reid Hall from the Library (southern doors closest to Wood House) and students with last name starting with L-Z will exit Reid Hall from the Admission office (northern doors closest to Marshall Field dorm). For the best photography opportunities, you may want to sit on the same side that your graduate will exit Reid Hall. What is the guest limit? Are tickets needed? There is no limit to the number of guests a student invites and there are no tickets. Will there be accessible parking/areas for family or friends needing assistance? Yes, if you require accessible parking contact Maura Johansson by Tuesday, May 26. There will be areas for those unable to seat in the sunken pool areas of the formal gardens. Please communicate that information with Maura Johansson by Tuesday, May 26. What events are open to parents and family? All-School Picnic, Athletic Awards, and Talent Show on Thursday. Move-Up Day Ceremony and Graduation Ceremony. The Cum Laude Luncheon is for Honorees and their families. Invitation will be communicated by Ben Wetherbee. Are there any events following the graduation ceremony? There is a reception in Reid Hall immediately following the ceremony. But there are no other events. When do boarding students have to move out? Boarding students have to be fully moved out of the dorm by 5 p.m. We encourage students to have the bulk of the packing done by Friday evening. What is the plan in the event of rain? The Athletic Center will be the location if weather does not permit an outdoor event for the Move-Up Day Ceremony and/or Graduation Ceremony.
