We are addressing the socioeconomic conditions that impact the health of individuals and we are in our communities providing health education and programming, and connecting people with appropriate community resources. Through initiatives such as Wellness on Wheels and connections with local farmers markets, we’re bringing fresh, healthy foods to areas that are considered food deserts and other underserved communities. We’re providing safe spaces to ensure that all patients have access to high-quality care. As an anchor institution, we are committed to developing career ladders for our local workforce and supporting our local businesses A community is only as strong as its least healthy residents, that is why we are in more underserved areas than any other health system in the state, and we will keep working to bring equitable care to all communities in the state of New Jersey.
