The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, commonly referred to as the Clery Act, is a federal mandate requiring all institutions of higher education that participate in federal student financial aid programs to disclose information about certain campus policies, procedures, and crimes reported to have occurred on the campus and certain off campus locations.
Pursuant to the
Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act,
the current year Annual Security Report (ASR) is now available for viewing on this web page. The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and information about drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery crimes for Stanislaus State for three years preceding the date of publication. A paper copy of the ASR is available upon request by contacting the Office of the Clery Director located at (209) 667-3572 or clery@csustan.edu.
Components of the program include but are not limited to:
Identifying, notifying and training Campus Security Authorities
Assessing crimes that occur within identified Clery geography, and if warranted, publishing timely warnings
Disclosing the campus safety and security policies and criminal statistical data
Publishing Stan State’s Annual Security Report and Campus Safety Plan
Executive Order 1107

The Annual Security Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by California State University Stanislaus and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.
The crime statistics found on this website represent alleged offenses reported to campus security authorities and/or local law enforcement agencies. Therefore, the data collected do not necessarily reflect prosecutions or convictions for crimes. Because some statistics are provided by non-police authorities, the data are not directly comparable to data from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting System which only collects statistics from police authorities.
The report also includes institutional policies concerning campus security, alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault and other matters.

The Clery Act also requires that colleges and universities publish yearly statistics and assessments regarding campus fire safety. This report contains information regarding fire safety, how to report a fire, community response to a fire incident, and fire statistics for on-campus student residential facilities for the three previous calendar years.
