About
About
We believe children learn best in an inclusive, creative, and nurturing environment that engages the whole child. Students here are active partners in their education, and learning is joyful.
Academics
Academics
From its inception, Burgundy has educated children in innovative ways. Our students learn by doing. The school community and its two campuses offer a nurturing atmosphere that inspire creativity through the arts and develop critical thinking skills with an integrated curriculum and hands-on projects.
Admission
Admission
Burgundy educates children from Junior Kindergarten through grade 8. The admission process begins in the fall prior to the year in which a student enrolls.

Community
Community
Burgundy doesn’t just refer to our school or our campuses. Burgundy is a beloved community.
The Burgundy Difference
Burgundy Difference
The Burgundy community is united by its commitment to creating a learning community that affirms children for who they are and where they are developmentally and that helps all our students realize their full potential as students and as people.
Giving
Giving
The Burgundy that our students and families love and enjoy today is the product of a handful of families doing together what none could have done individually: purchasing land, rehabilitating and raising buildings, hiring a professional faculty.

Board of Trustees
Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of Burgundy Farm Country Day School is responsible for the long-term stability and future viability of the school.
The Board employs and oversees the Head of School, approves the annual budget, sets tuition, adopts policy that helps to define operational expectations, and ensures the fulfillment of the school’s mission through strategic planning and ongoing support to the Head of School.
The Board consists of current parents, alumni, alumni parents, and community and business leaders. Trustees are elected by members of the school corporation (current parents, faculty, staff, founders and life members) for three-year terms. In addition, the Head of School and an elected faculty member serve as non-voting members of the Board. Members of the parent body, faculty and staff are invited to attend Board meetings and may be appointed to Board committees. All Board meetings are open to the public and Constant Comment, the school’s weekly e-newsletter, will include highlights of Board work, upcoming meetings and opportunities for involvement. For more information about the Board of Trustees and how you can become involved in the governance of the school, please contact the President of the Board or the Head of School.
The Annual Meeting of the Corporation (stipulated by the school’s bylaws) is scheduled for February. The Annual Meeting is held for the purpose of providing an opportunity for members of the Burgundy community to receive reports from the Head of School and President of the Board and to discuss the Board nominations and election process. Current parents will receive more details and an invitation to register to attend via the school e-newsletter.
