Our Mission
The Western Museum of Mining and Industry (WMMI) is committed to preserving and interpreting the rich mining history of Colorado and the American West.
Open since 1970, WMMI proudly features working machinery, a model mining drift and gold panning stations in the 12,200 square foot exhibit hall, plus historic buildings and machinery on our beautiful 27 acre campus.

Calendar of Events at WMMI
Stamp Mill
The 10-stamp mill is closed for the season. It remains available for exterior viewing and will reopen with improved weather. The mill will operate again on June 13 during our first Summer Super Saturday.

Farmhouse Tours
Tour the historic Reynolds House, the lone survivor of Victorian-era farmhouses in northern El Paso County. This Queen Anne-style Victorian farmhouse was built in the mid-1890s and is now on the Colorado Register of Historic Properties.
Learn about the history of the property and surrounding area during a 30 minute tour of the Reynolds House. Space is limited; please reserve your spot.

See our variety of event venue and rental opportunities, perfect for your family reunion, wedding, company meeting, picnic or team building retreat. Rent our cozy library or theater.
