Alleyn's Parents
Our parents play a much-valued role in the Alleyn’s community. The relationships forged between our staff, pupils and parents underpin the success of our school.
Under the aegis of the enterprising Alleyn’s Parents’ Association (APA), the connection is deep and purposeful, with parents enjoying opportunities to socialise and network, to volunteer for projects to benefit the wider community, and to help fundraise for the school and local and global charities.
Whilst the APA is its own separate entity, its goal is to strengthen the Alleyn’s community and to contribute positively to its welfare, happiness and achievements. All parents automatically become APA members when their child joins the Senior School (in the Junior School, it’s the AJSA) and can choose to be as involved as much or as little as they wish.
There is also the opportunity to join our Parents’ Forum, a voluntary panel upon whose insights and wisdom we call upon to consider, review or shape emerging initiatives or issues.
Parents’ involvement in our culture of giving has encompassed everything from sewing scrubs for medics through the pandemic to sharing careers insight at our Law Networking Evening; and from manning the mulled wine at the annual Holly Fair to raising vital funds for bursaries, to joining our fundraising walks for Ukraine and Angus’ Giant Pledge for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital.
We are deeply grateful for the ways in which our parents unite to make a difference.
There are many fun and worthwhile opportunities to be involved; we will encourage you to dive in and find your thing!
