Bellarmine’s 50th annual Golden Bell Auction brought the community together for a milestone evening of community generosity and shared commitment to expanding access to a Jesuit education.
The event welcomed hundreds of alumni, faculty, family, and friends who gathered in support of the school’s Direct Tuition Assistance Fund. While final financial results are still being calculated, the impact of the evening was immediately clear: the collective generosity of donors and attendees will meaningfully sustain and grow tuition assistance for current and future students.
This year, Bellarmine is distributing nearly $8 million in tuition assistance — more than ever before — ensuring that students from a wide range of backgrounds can access the full Bellarmine experience. Proceeds from the Golden Bell Auction play a critical role in making that possible.
A highlight of the evening came from senior Yassel Sanchez ’26, who reflected on the transformative impact of tuition assistance in his own life. “When I look back at all the things Bellarmine has given me — the friendships, the experiences, and the opportunities — I realize that none of these opportunities happened by accident,” he said. “They happened because people, like many of you who are sitting here today, believe that students like me deserve a chance to be a Bell.”
From those who attended and donated to those who volunteered, set up, and supported behind the scenes, the Bellarmine community once again demonstrated its deep commitment to the school’s mission. Their generosity ensures that a Bellarmine education remains accessible to all who seek it, regardless of their financial circumstances.
