The program blends programming, digital art, narrative design, and user experience into a powerful toolkit that mirrors industry expectations. External judges from top studios review student work each semester, offering invaluable professional insight.
Hands-On Learning
Students participate in semesterly Game Jams judged by professionals from companies like Ubisoft and 2K Games, showcase work in the Senior Exhibition, and collaborate with Art and Digital Studio Art students.

Critique the cultural, theoretical, historical, and/or artistic dimensions of games and simulations
Create a capstone project that demonstrates professional competence with current gaming standards and demonstrates a range of abilities required for employment in the gaming industry
Prepare students to enhance their abilities related to distinct jobs individually and prepare students to work in teams
Create a platform of technical proficiency using hardware and software appropriate to the current needs of the gaming community
Utilize computer program theories and languages to create game behavior and control the game environment
Identify strategies and develop professional workflows within a game project that relate to current standards
Learn the history of gaming from the standpoint of the first video games
