Grinnell's commitment to the common good comes from somewhere innate, grounded in a partnership with the town that surrounds us. It weaves its way through everything we do. Our coursework, our student groups, our art, our sense of community - they prepare us for the ever-mounting challenges facing our state, our nation, and our world. But Grinnellians don't just talk, we do. Here's how.
Grinnell is more than a campus - it's a community.
Acting as a gateway between Grinnell College and Grinnell, Iowa, the all-new Renfrow Hall and planned downtown construction seeks to foster collaboration between the campus and the community, so that each can support the other. Grinnellians value the interdependence of their communities and champion access for all.
Housed in the new four-story residence hall currently under construction, the area is designed as a mixed-use space to promote cooperation and trust between campus and community members.
