Message from our
Vice Chancellor
For this university to achieve its vision of being a leading institution for academic excellence and innovation in South Sudan and beyond, we need to work as a team: the Church, the Board of Trustees, the management, the Senate, the staff, the students, and other stakeholders, including the government.
I pledge to work with the University Senate in ensuring that this university becomes a leading institution for academic excellence. The Department for Quality Assurance will play a greater role and be accountable for its actions. I pledge to work with all directors of different campuses (Wau, Rumbek, Yambio, and Malakal) to ensure the same quality education is reflected there.
I pledge to work closely with all staff Sacco members to improve staff welfare; the Dean of Students and class representatives to improve student welfare and performance; the Deputy VC for Administration and Finance to maintain a conducive teaching and learning environment; and the Deputy VC for Academic Affairs, the Academic Registry, and Admission Office to deliver quality academic services effectively and efficiently.
I also pledge to foster partnerships with the private sector and development partners, expand global exchange programs, integrate digital technology in classrooms, update curricula to match job market needs, expand postgraduate programs, and further develop our infrastructure.
Our different faculties are here to offer home-driven solutions to our current issues, especially the Institute of Justice and Peace, which guides on conflict prevention and resolution in our states, communities, and beyond.
