Cognitive & Mental Health Resources
We are committed to supporting the mental health of our students, alumni, staff, and faculty members. That’s why we’ve collected several helpful resources for our community and why we provide direct access to our University Chaplains for support. You can
email our Chaplains
or text them at (304) 620-3577 or (703) 357-3990. Be sure to include your student ID when emailing or messaging the Chaplains. For help with
disability accommodations
, you may contact the Disability Services Accommodations team by emailing
[email protected]
or calling 304-885-5252 to discuss options.
We also host two premiere mental health and suicide prevention services:
UWill®
and
TalkCampus
. UWill is a robust, flexible, and intuitive teletherapy program that students can connect to via phone, video, chat, or text messaging. TalkCampus is a professionally monitored peer support platform.
With UWill, all enrolled students can make same-day appointments with licensed therapists, talk with trained crisis counselors—all day, every day—and attend “wellness events to complement therapy.” UWill also has a global footprint—they have licensed mental health professionals in all 50 states and several countries around the world—so our students are sure to be supported wherever they may be.
Students can also log on to TalkCampus day or night, connect with other students around the world, and tap into a supportive community of peers that understand what they’re going through.
In addition to UWill and TalkCampus, you can find a number of other mental health resources below.
