Knox College is grateful for every gift we receive. To express our appreciation, we maintain honor clubs and societies to recognize our supporters. We recognize three types of giving:

President's Circle
honors donors who give $1,837.
John Huston Finley Society
honors alumni one to 10 years after graduation who give $100 to $1,000 on a graduated basis.
President’s Circle
Lifetime Giving
Two giving societies honor those donors who give $100,000 or more each year:
Ellen Browning Scripps Society,
for cumulative lifetime giving of $1,000,000+
Lincoln-Douglas Society,
for cumulative lifetime giving of $100,000 to $999,999
Lifetime Giving
Legacy Giving
Two giving societies honor those who have included Knox in their estate plans:
Walter B. Hobbs Society,
for realized bequests of $1,000,000+.
Old Main Society,
for those who make written provisions for Knox in their estate plans and realized bequests under $1,000,000.

Loyalty Donors
These symbols are Knox’s way to recognize and celebrate the loyalty of our donors. You’ll notice in your copy of class donor listings that some donors have a symbol next to their names.
Here’s what they all mean:
Star Donors:
They’ve given to Knox every year since college.
Diamond Donors:
They’ve given each of the last ten or more years.
Pyramid Donors:
They’ve given to Knox for each of the last five or more years.
