Warren Casey, Ph.D., D.A.B.T., is the Director of Strategic Partnerships in the Office of Portfolio Strategy and Research Management within the Division of Translational Toxicology at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). In this role, he identifies strategic opportunities with academic institutions, industry stakeholders, international organizations, and other federal agencies. Casey manages collaborative programs that promote innovative approaches for assessing human health risks associated with environmental exposure to harmful substances.
Throughout his distinguished career, Casey has held several key leadership positions, including Executive Director of the Interagency Coordinating Committee on the Validation of Alternative Methods (ICCVAM), Director of the NTP Interagency Center for the Evaluation of Toxicological Methods (NICEATM), and President of the Society of Toxicology's In Vitro and Alternative Methods Specialty Section. He also contributes his expertise as a scientific advisor on various national and international consortia, furthering the advancement of human-based toxicology.
