Openings
Premium tours on the first Sunday and fourth Saturday of every month, (except 4th Sat in December).
At 1:30 pm including a demonstration of the Kirkaldy testing machine. Duration around 2½ hours. Maximum 24 people.
Cost £23, plus booking fee.
No tour on
27th June
as Kirkaldy volunteers will be at the UCL Institute of Making "Festival of Stuff".
A standard tour on the third Saturday of the month.
Except in September when this is London Open House
At 2 pm. Duration around 1½ hours. Maximum of 15 people.
Cost £15, plus booking fee.

Book in advance. Bookings close 12 hours before the start time of the tour. See the main website for more details and booking links, or use direct links in the table below.
It is likely that there will be places available on the day for the standard tours, where we have a degree of flexibility on numbers. Please turn up at the front door 5 minutes before the stated tour time. Prices are as above but without the booking fee. Cash or card but cash preferred.

What you will see in a testing museum are materials testing machines. We are unique and realise that unlike most other museums it is very difficult to know what we are about just from our name, whether that is Testing Museum or Testing Works. Unless you are an engineer
most people will never have seen materials testing machines. Try us and learn something new, or if you already know about materials testing, learn more about the history of the subject.
