preserving our heritage
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum is located at Scotland’s world-famous Edinburgh Castle. Our permanent exhibition tells the historic story of the regiment from its origins in the late 17th century to the present day. Visitors will learn about the part played by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards and their antecedents in many of the decisive events in British history. The Museum is also responsible for the Regimental Archive.
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum is committed to maintaining a fair place for all to work and have their voices heard. We are a Living Wage Employer, in line with the Scottish Government's Fair Work First policy.

THE ROYAL SCOTS DRAGOON GUARDS - THE REGIMENTAL FAMILY

OUR REGIMENT - A LOCAL SCHOOL VIDEO
In 2024 the Museum worked with Animation Jam and the Primary 6 class at Leuchars Primary School to create an animation telling stories from the Regiment's history. This project culminated in a film that was then displayed in the Museum for our visitors to see.
