Conservation and Parks Commission

In accordance with the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984, policy, operational and system support is provided to the Conservation and Parks Commission by the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions by way of a Memorandum of Understanding for service delivery, effective May 2025
.
The Commission works to protect WA’s biodiversity and conservation estate. It acts as an independent and trusted community steward and government advisor.
Its purpose is to:
conserve the State's biological diversity
ensure management of the conservation estate is ecologically sustainable
foster the appreciation and sustainable use of these areas
