Welcome New Families! - Greater Atlanta Christian School
Welcome New Families!
We’re excited to welcome you to the GAC family! As you begin your journey at GAC, we know there’s a lot to take in — from enrollment steps and preparing for the school year to discovering the many ways your child and family can get involved. To help you get started, we’ve planned several key events designed to guide you through each step of the transition.

How can I select my courses (grades 6-12)?
How do I get involved with academic teams and clubs?
When can I get involved with athletics?
How can I get involved as a parent?
MyGAC is a portal for parents, students, faculty, and staff. Important resources are available through myGAC such as homework assignments, grades, announcements, lunch menus, directories, enrichment activities, and much more. To learn more, watch the
MyGAC Lower School Instructional Video
or the
MyGAC Upper School Instructional Video.
The Admissions Office will be open this summer if you have any questions. You may also contact school offices directly, although many will have reduced summer hours. See Important Contacts on this page. You will be receiving periodic emails with information and updates.
There are many ways to get connected throughout the summer. Our
Ambassador program
connects you with an existing family that can act as a touch point during the summer for parent-to-parent communication. You will receive an email from Admissions about participating in the ambassador program. If you have specific questions about this program, contact
Carrie Downing
We hope you will attend the events designed for your school level and also consider experiencing other on-campus opportunities like summer camps, summer athletics or summer academic classes. These opportunities will vary depending on the age of the student.
High School students
should
sign up for a counseling meeting
to select their courses. GAC must have student’s Fall 2025 transcript and Spring 2026 course schedule with performance data in order to select courses.
Middle School:
GAC Middle School Counselor, Misty Wilson, will email all new families within two weeks of your enrollment to provide you with information about your schedule and to set up a meeting for further discussion.
