M A Sociology
Eligibility :
Any UG degree (10+2+3 or more years pattern including Professional degrees), of this University or a recognised degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent Overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Psychology
Eligibility :
A pass in BA/ BA (Honours)/ B.Sc degree with Psychology core (main) from University of Calicut or a recognised degree with Psychology core (main), in regular mode.
M Sc Home Science (Nutrition & Dietetics)
Eligibility :
B.Sc. Degree with Home Science/Family & Community Science/ Dietetics /Clinical Nutrition/Nutrition and Dietetics/Food Science with Quality Control/Food Science and Nutrition/ Food Service management and Dietetics or other Nutrition related degree programmes, and BVoc Nutrition Science and Dietetics of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Statistics
Eligibility :
Under Mark System —
At least 50% marks in Statistics/Applied Statistics (Main)/Mathematics & Statistics (Double Main)/Mathematics (Main) with Statistics as one of the subsidiaries in the B.Sc. Degree of this University or equivalent. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
Under Grade System —
Bsc Statistics /Applied Statistics(Main) /Mathematics & Statistics (Double Main) /Mathematics (Core) with Statistics as complementary in the B.Sc. Degree of this University or an equivalent degree with Overall CGPA, at least equivalent to 50%. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Mathematics
Eligibility :
B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Main (Core) and at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Part III (Core and Complementary put together). In the case of those students having a B.Sc degree or B.Sc Honours degree (without complementary/subsidiary papers) equivalent to the B.Sc. Mathematics Degree of the Calicut University, they only need to secure at least 50% marks in the main (core) and electives put together (if there is/are any elective paper/papers). OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Botany
Eligibility :
Bachelor degree in Botany or Plant Science, of University of Calicut or an equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Core (Main) subject. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Chemistry
Eligibility :
B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry (Core/Main), with Mathematics as one of its subsidiaries/complementaries, of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent Overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Home Science (Textiles & Costume Science)
Eligibility :
Any degree (10+2+3 or more years pattern including Professional degrees) of University of Calicut or any degree (10+2+3 or more years pattern including Professional degrees) recognized by University of Calicut, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation upto 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Zoology
Eligibility :
B.Sc Degree with Zoology (Main/Core) of this University, or equivalent degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Core (Part III excluding subsidiaries). OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Sc Physics
Eligibility :
B.Sc. Degree in Physics/Applied Physics (Core/Main), of this University or an equivalent degree, with Mathematics as compulsory complementary, having at least 50% mark or equivalent CGPA in Part III (Core and Complementary put together) or an equivalent B.Sc Physics Honours degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Physics core and electives (Mathematics compulsory) put together. In the case of applicants having an equivalent degree with triple main/three majors, they should have Physics and Mathematics as two mains/majors and should have minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, while putting the three mains/majors together. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M Com
Eligibility :
Any candidate who has passed B.Com or BBA (earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or recognized B.Com, BBA, BBM or BBS degree of any other University or Institutes in any states, with minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA is eligible for admission to the M.Com programme. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5%.SC/ST candidates need to get a pass”. In case of B.Com(Honours) and B.Com(Professional) and BBA(Honours), the minimum eligibility for admission is a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA , for all categories of students.
M A Malayalam
Eligibility :
BA Malayalam Language and Literature (Main/Core) Degree or Any degree with Malayalam as common course (Part II) or general educational component (in case of B.Voc), of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 45% aggregate marks or equivalent Overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M A Economics
Eligibility :
BA Degree with Economics/Foreign Trade/Development Economics /Economics with Islamic Finance (Core/Main), of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent Overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5% and SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass OR B. Sc Degree with Statistics/Mathematics/ Computer Science (Core/Main), of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 70 % aggregate marks or equivalent Overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5% and SC/ ST candidates need only to get a pass.
M A English
Eligibility :
BA English Language & Literature/BA English & History/BA Functional English/ BA English with Islamic History or BA/BSc (excluding alternative pattern) Degree with English as Common Course (Part I), of this University or an equivalent degree, with at least 45% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
For Non-BA (English) category candidates applying for M A English Language & Literature, admission will be based on an Entrance Test. A candidate should score at least 50% marks in the Entrance Test for admission in this category. Admission of such candidates will be to the one seat reserved (for each MA English Language & Literature programme) in the affiliated colleges of the University and this seat will be set apart from the General Quota.
M Sc Computer Science (Specialized in Data Science)
Eligibility :
The candidate should have secured at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA in BSc. (Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or Physics or Mathematics or Statistics or Chemistry) or BCA/ B.Voc in Software Technology/ B.Voc in Software Development/ BVoc Data Science, BVoc Mathematics and AI/ BVoc IT, of this University or an equivalent degree, OR at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA in B.Tech/BE (Computer Science or Information Technology or Electronics or Electronics and Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication) recognized by this University. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
B Voc Web Technology
Eligibility :
Candidate who passed the Plus Two examination of the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or Pre Degree of Calicut University or any other University or Board of Examinations in any state recognized as equivalent to the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board in Kerala.
Index Mark :
Plus two Part III Subjects Total Marks + Marks of Mathematics OR Computer Science OR Computer Application OR Information Technology. In the case of students who have studied more than one subject mentioned above, add the highest mark obtained. An additional 25 marks will be awarded for VHS pass out students.
Tie Break :
If there is a tie in the index marks priority must be given to Mathematics/Computer Science as the case may be. If there is a tie again the marks of the second subsidiary subject marks of English and then the marks for second language will be considered before going to general conditions.
B Voc Food Processing
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies)the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with Science and Mathematics are eligible for admisson. (U.O. No.GA I/J1/7359/2003 dated 20.01.2010
Index Mark :
Total marks obtained for part III+ the average marks obtained for Physics and Chemistry. An additional 25 marks will be awarded for VHS passout students.
Tie Break :
If there is tie priority must be given to the candidates who secure more marks in the main subject concerned. If there is a tie again the marks of compulsory subsidiary subjects and then the marks obtained for the
B Sc Textiles & Fashion Technology
Eligibility
: Candidates who have passed (Eligible for higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with science subjects are eligible for admission.
Indexing Ruling
: Total Plus Two marks only.
Tie Break
: General conditions are applicable.
B Sc Psychology
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission (U.O. No.GAI/J1/628/2003 dated 15.05.2004)
Index Mark :
The new index mark calculation includes the total marks obtained in the qualifying examination and a subject weightage of 15% of the marks scored for Psychology in the qualifying examination. In the case of other optional subject ranking will be based on the total marks obtained in the qualifying examination without any weightage
Tie Break :
If there is a tie priority must be given to the candidates who secure more marks in the main subject concerned. If there is a tie again the marks of compulsory subsidiary subjects and then the marks obtained for the second subsidiary subject are to considered. Even after there is tie the marks obtained in English, the second language are considered and at last general conditions are applied in the case of Science students those who have not studied psychology with same index marks in the rank list, priority will be given to Biology students .In all other aspects general rule shall be followed.(vide U.O.No GAI/J2/3153/2007 Dated:21.06.2008)
B Com (Finance)
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereto with at least one commerce subject are eligible for admissions to the B.Com degree course. Candidates who have not studied commerce subject for Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination not less than 45% marks are also eligible. A concession of 5% will be given to OBC/OEC candidates. The SC/ST candidates need get only a pass. (U.O. No.GAI/A2/1658/2007 dated 28.02.2008).
Index Mark :
Total marks + 25 marks for each commerce papers subject to maximum of 50 marks. Tie Break :
If there is a tie in the index marks, those who studied commerce in the Plus Two or equivalent get preference. If there is tie the marks in the commerce subjects will be considered first, then the marks of English and then the marks of Additional language/second language will be considered. Finally general conditions are applicable.
B A Malayalam Literature
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Index Mark :
Total Marks+Twice the marks secured in Additional Languages/Second languages concerned. A weightage of 20 marks will be given to those who have studied the Malayalam as optional subject for HSE or an equivalent examination with second language.
Tie Break :
If there is a tie in the ranking, the priority will be given to those who got more marks in Additional/ Second language. If there is again a tie, more marks in English is considered and then the general conditions are applicable.
B A Sociology
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies)the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Index Mark :
Total Plus Two marks + a weightage of 50 marks for those who have studied Sociology as option subjects in HSE or equivalent
Tie Break :
If there is a tie, the priority must be given to those candidates who score more marks in the optional subjects concerned. Again if there is a tie, then the total marks in English, then the total marks in additional/Second language are considered. After that the general conditions are applicable.
B A Economics
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Index Mark :
Total Plus Two marks + a weightage of 50 marks for those who have studied Economics as optional subjects in HSE or equivalent.
Tie Break :
If there is a tie, the priority must be given to those candidates who score more marks in the optional subjects concerned. Again if there is a tie, then the total marks in English, then the total marks in Additional/Second language are considered. After that the general conditions are applicable.
B A Functional English
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies)the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Index Mark :
Total Marks + Twice the marks secured in English. A weightage of 20 marks will be given to those who have studies English, Functional English and Communicative English as optional subject for HSE or equivalent examination.
Tie Break :
If these is a tie in the ranking, the priority will be given to those who got more marks in English. If there is again a tie, marks in Additional/ second language are considered and then the general conditions are applicable.
B A English Language & Literature
Eligibility :
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.

Total Part III + marks secured for Mathematics in the case of Science group with Mathematics as one of the subject AND Total Part III + marks secured for Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology/Informatics Practice/Informatics/ Additional Mathematics in the case of other combinations without Mathematics as one of the subject. If the Candidates has studied both Mathematics and any one of the following subjects Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology/Informatics Practice/Informatics/ Additional Mathematics then the marks secured for Mathematics or Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology/Informatics Practice/Informatics/ Additional Mathematics which ever is higher will added.
Tie Break :
If there is a tie in the index marks priority must be given to Mathematics/Computer Science as the case may be. If there is a tie again the marks of the second subsidiary subject marks of English and then the marks for second language will be considered before going to general conditions

Eligibility :
Any candidate who has passed B.Com or BBA (earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or recognized B.Com, BBA, BBM or BBS degree of any other University or Institutes in any states, with minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA is eligible for admission to the M.Com programme. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible for relaxation up to 5%.SC/ST candidates need to get a pass”.
