Hill Country Christian School of Austin offers several tuition assistance pathways to help families thoughtfully consider how a classical, Christ-centered education may fit within their long-term planning. Families may explore the options below.
Texas School Choice / Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
The Texas School Choice program, otherwise known as the
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA)
, may provide eligible families with state-supported funding to apply toward private school tuition.
Eligibility, funding amounts, and application steps are determined by the state and may vary by year. Families interested in this School Voucher option should review the specific requirements to determine whether they qualify.
Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA), operates independently from Hill Country’s internal process, families are encouraged to review the most current information to understand eligibility, timelines, and how these funds may align with enrollment.

Need-Based Tuition Assistance
Hill Country offers need-based tuition assistance to qualifying families through a thorough and impartial review process. We partner with
FACTS
, a third-party financial assessment service, to objectively evaluate applications.
FACTS reviews information such as household income, assets, family size, debt, and expenses, and provides Hill Country with an independent recommendation. Tuition assistance awards are need-based, reviewed annually, and do not exceed a family’s demonstrated need.
Award caps:
Kindergarten:
up to 25% of tuition
Grades 1-12:
up to 50% of tuition
While Hill Country is pleased to offer tuition assistance, funds are limited and awarded on an annual basis. Families who anticipate needing assistance are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Multi-Student Discount
Hill Country offers a multi-student discount for families with more than one student enrolled in grades K–12. This discount is designed to support families planning for long-term enrollment across multiple children.
Discount rates are as follows:
5% for the second student
10% for the third student
15% for the fourth student
20% for the fifth student
Multi-student discounts do not stack with other forms of tuition assistance.
Payment Options
To support responsible financial planning, Hill Country offers several tuition payment options through
FACTS
, including annual, semi-annual, and monthly payment plans.
Many families find that spreading tuition across
12 monthly payments
helps make the investment more manageable over time. Payment plans are not need-based and may be used independently or alongside other tuition assistance pathways, when applicable.

Hill Country seeks to make the tuition assistance process confidential and respectful from start to finish. Families are supported throughout the process and encouraged to ask questions as they progress to the next steps.

We understand that financial situations can change over time. If your circumstances shift or you have questions along the way, our team is here to support you. Tuition assistance is reviewed annually, with ongoing guidance for families whose financial circumstances remain similar.
Key Deadlines & Considerations
To ensure the best possible consideration for tuition assistance, families are encouraged to plan and act early in the admissions cycle.
The tuition assistance application deadline for Priority Consideration (via FACTS) is Feb. 3.
Parents are strongly encouraged to submit the application and all required supporting documentation by this date to be eligible for award consideration.
After the Feb. 3 deadline, applications may still be considered on a rolling basis, depending on available funds.
Because tuition assistance funds are limited, priority consideration is given to families who apply by the published deadline.

Tuition Assistance FAQs
Is tuition assistance available for all grade levels?
Tuition assistance is offered for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. At this time, assistance is not available for Preschool or Kinder Bridge programs.
How is eligibility for tuition assistance determined?
Hill Country partners with
FACTS
, a non-biased, third-party financial assessment service, to review each family’s financial information. FACTS considers factors such as income, assets, family size, debt, and expenses and provides an independent recommendation to the school.
Is there a limit to how much tuition assistance a family may receive?
Yes. Tuition assistance awards are need-based and will not exceed a family’s demonstrated need. Awards are capped at:
Up to
25% of tuition for Kindergarten
Up to

Do families need to reapply for tuition assistance each year?
Yes. Tuition assistance is reviewed annually, and families must reapply each year.
What if our financial situation changes after we apply?
Hill Country understands that financial circumstances can change. Families are encouraged to communicate with the admissions or business office if their situation shifts.
Does applying for tuition assistance affect admissions decisions?
No. Admissions decisions are made independently of the tuition assistance process. Applying for tuition assistance will not impact your child’s consideration for admission.
Can tuition assistance be combined with other options?
At the moment, multi-student discounts do not stack with need-based tuition assistance. Our admissions team is happy to help you understand how different options may apply to your family.
Is tuition assistance guaranteed from year to year?
Tuition assistance is reviewed and awarded on an annual basis, taking into account each family’s circumstances and the availability of funds. While awards are not guaranteed from year to year, families are supported throughout the reapplication process.
