Enrolling in an online university is an important decision, so you’re sure to have questions. If you can’t find the answer here, speak to your NAU enrollment advisor.
Is National American University accredited?
Yes. National American University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500, Chicago, IL, 60604,
, (800) 621-7440. Certain programs also are accredited or approved by national educational and professional associations.
Is there an application fee?
NAU does not require an application fee in undergraduate programs.

Are there registration deadlines?
The registration deadline is typically one week prior to the start of the course.
How do I register for classes?
Once you have completed the application process, you may register for classes online by going to
mycampus.national.edu
and clicking on the appropriate link. Financial arrangements must be made prior to class start.
Am I eligible for financial aid?
You will be eligible for federal financial aid if you qualify. Take a look at all the
financial aid
options available, then speak to an NAU financial services representative. You also can contact your local civic and professional organizations to learn more about scholarships and assistance programs that they may offer.
How do online courses compare with classroom courses?
Online courses are regular college credit courses that are delivered via the internet—offering you greater convenience and flexibility. All courses have a syllabus identifying all information that will be covered throughout the course.
How long do I have to complete a course?
Courses are generally eight or 11 weeks long.
How quickly can I get my degree?
It will vary depending on which degree program you are in; however, through eight- or 11-week classes, you may be able to finish your degree faster than you ever thought possible.
What do I need to know about tuition rates and fees?
NAU does not have in-state and out-of-state tuition. To find out more about tuition and fees, speak to your enrollment advisor.
How do I get a transcript?
To order an electronic or paper transcript, please create a secure account with Parchment
here
or log in to your student portal. The cost for electronic transcripts is $13.50; paper transcripts cost $16.00.
Can I transfer in any courses to this program from other universities?
We endeavor to ensure that all students receive transfer credit and professional experience credit in accordance with our credit evaluation processes and policies. The transfer of coursework is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by NAU. Find out more about transferring to NAU

Can I transfer any courses from this program to other universities?
In many cases, yes. The transfer of coursework is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by universities. This decision is up to the school to which you apply.
Who can I talk to if I have questions or need help?
You will have a dedicated NAU team: an enrollment advisor, financial services representative, a student services advisor and, of course, our dedicated instructors. They’ll work together to help you succeed.
I need my degree verified. What is the process for degree verification?
All degree verification requests must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office via email at
registrarsoffice@national.edu
Please include your full name, dates of attendance or approximate timeframe when you attended, contact information, and student ID number (if available).
Note:
If your name has changed since attending NAU, please also include the name under which you were enrolled.
