Donate to the Whitehead Memorial Museum
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all proceeds from memberships, sponsorships, donations, admissions and fundraising events go right back into the museum. These funds are used to:
Maintain current museum exhibits
Expand current exhibits
Add new exhibits
Fund current educational programs
Add new educational programs
Community involvement
There are several ways to donate to the Museum
Because we are a non-profit 501c3, your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Memorial / Honorary Donations
We welcome your donations to the Whitehead Memorial Museum, and would be happy to designate your contributions as memorials or honorariums. (Memorials and honorariums are deposited into our general operating funds). If you would like the family or honoree to be notified of your gift, please provide us with their contact information.

Donating Artifacts to the Museum
We appreciate your interest in the Whitehead Memorial Museum, and we welcome and solicit those items that reflect our unique history. Unfortunately, due to severe space limitations, we can only accept items unique to Val Verde County and the city of Del Rio and CANNOT accept items that are currently in wide circulation or in disrepair. Thank you again for your interest and understanding.
Please note:
Items donated to the museum will have to be approved by the Museum Director to be entered into our collection. An item is not accepted/approved until an Artifact Donation Contract/ Artifact Loan Contract is signed and filed at the museum.
