Students Explore the World During February ACE Week
Curiosity and exploration were at play during this month’s Arts, Culture, and Enrichment (ACE) week. From February 23-27, students traveled the globe through hands-on activities and cultural experiences.
The Extended Learning team did an awesome job coming up with creative, age-appropriate activities for students to explore the world, with each day being dedicated to a different continent.
The kindergarten and first-grade camp and the second and third-grade camp explored diverse cultures through storytelling, art projects, music, and culinary experiences. Each activity invited students to see both the beauty of differences and the connections we all share.
The fourth through eighth graders took a deeper dive into global traditions, history, and contemporary culture. Activities encouraged thoughtful discussion and critical thinking, and challenged students to consider not only how cultures differ but also how global exchange shapes our shared future.
For TPS, preschool, and pre-k, ACE Week centered on exploration through play. Students listened to folktales, created crafts inspired by global traditions, tasted new foods, and learned about celebrations from around the world. Through music, movement, and hands-on discovery, even our youngest learners built an early appreciation for cultural diversity and global citizenship.
