Creating a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, and community is at the heart of everything we do at OLP. We understand that a safe campus is not just a physical space, but a holistic approach that encompasses emotional well-being, digital health, and an inclusive community. When you choose OLP, you're choosing a school that takes safety seriously.  Our commitment to safety extends beyond our campus, impacting every aspect of our school experience.
OLP has established an online anonymous tip reporting form for students, parents and community members to report suspected criminal behavior, suicide ideation and signs, bullying and other safety concerns through the OLP website, in partnership with
WeTip
. The web-based WeTip forms are monitored 24/7. Training will happen for students at class meetings at the start of the year, parents at back to school night, and ongoing throughout the year via school communication channels.
Submit A WeTip
All submissions through OLP WeTip are reviewed by WeTip and school administration. Any tip relating to fire, arson, a bomb threat, weapons, firearms, an active shooter, harm to self or others, a tip that indicates an immediate threat of harm to person/property including social media will be directed immediately to 9-1-1, San Diego Police. Although these texts are confidential (identities will not be disclosed), they are not anonymous.
Intentionally false or misleading texts are taken very seriously, and could result in school discipline, and/or investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
Comprehensive Security Measures
Closed Campus:  All entrances and exits are closely monitored. No persons are permitted on campus, other than staff or students, without lawful business or an appointment. All visitors are required to check-in at the Main Office and wear a badge. This ensures that only authorized individuals can access our premises, providing an added layer of protection.
State-of-the-Art Surveillance: Your safety is under watchful eyes. With over 60 security cameras strategically placed across our expansive 4-acre campus, we maintain a constant vigilance.
On-Site Security Partners: Our dedicated on-site security partners work tirelessly to maintain a secure atmosphere. Trained professionals who are attuned to the unique needs of our school community, they're always ready to respond swiftly to any situation.
Campus Supervisor: Our campus supervisors play a vital role in upholding safety protocols. They provide a visible presence, offer guidance, and ensure that all safety measures are consistently followed.
Visitor Policy
All visitors must schedule an appointment prior to arriving to campus. Parents/visitors are to check in at theFront Office. Visitors must present a valid driver's license or government-issued ID. Once checked in, parents/visitors must display a valid visitor's badge at all times while on campus. In the interest of campus security, visitors may be refused access to campus or be asked to leave campus during their visit.

What should you report to We Tip?
Acts of violence, with or without weapons
Verbal or physical abuse, assault or harassment
Sexual abuse, assault or harassment
Threats seen on social media
Bullying, fighting, harassment or intimidating behaviors
Bragging about weapons or a planned attack
Depression, anxiety or loss of self-control
Hopelessness, excessive guilt or worthlessness
Reckless behavior, theft and/or crimes
Social isolation or withdrawal
Substance or alcohol abuse
Suicidal ideation concerns and warning signs
Suicide threats, cutting or other self-harm
Any other troubling situation or behavior
What happens to your We Tip after submitting?
WeTip will immediately relay all tip information to all law enforcement agencies that need it. WeTip provides the maximum amount of information possible to law enforcement to enable them to conduct an investigation based on the anonymous information.
Tips are directed to the appropriate law enforcement agencies, mental health support and/or school administration based on necessary next steps.
