Dear WAE Scholars and Families,
Welcome to a new school year at the Women’s Academy of Excellence (WAE)—a place where young women are empowered to lead with purpose, excel with confidence, and grow within a strong sisterhood. Rooted in our core values of

, we are proud to foster a learning community where each scholar is seen, heard, and inspired to succeed.
As your Principal, I am excited to continue this journey with you—one grounded in high expectations, authentic relationships, and a shared commitment to your future. This year, WAE is proud to expand our work through the
FutureReadyNYC
initiative and the
Career-Ready Modern Youth Apprenticeship (CRMYA)
program. These citywide efforts ensure that our students not only graduate on time, but also leave high school with real-world work experience, industry-aligned skills, and early college credits that open doors to a variety of postsecondary options.
At WAE, instruction is designed with purpose. You will experience rigorous, project-based learning that is directly connected to real careers in business in marketing and beyond. You will gain hands-on experience through internships, apprenticeships, and dual-enrollment courses, while building a professional portfolio that reflects your strengths, passions, and aspirations. Whether you plan to attend college, launch a career, or both—our goal is to ensure that every scholar graduates with a strong plan, a strong portfolio, and a strong sense of purpose.
