Services Available at Practice
All GP practices are contracted to provide essential services, that is, basic treatment of ill people.
We also provide the following additional services:
Child Health Surveillance, together with the Health Visitor.
Contraceptive services.
Maternity services in the antenatal and postnatal period, together with the midwives from Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
Routine immunisation of children, together with the Health Visitor.
Cervical smears.
Freezing of warts and other small skin lesions.
Vaccinations and Immunisations.
We also hold contracts with NHS Grampian for the following Enhanced Services:
Annual flu immunisation programme to protect elderly and at risk people.
Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problem
Regular monitoring by blood tests for patients on Warfarin.
Drugs misuse programme for patients with drug abuse problems, in conjunction with the Substance Misuse Service.
Minor surgery.
Annual comprehensive review for patients with diabetes.

Clinics
The Nurse Practitioner runs a minor illness clinic Monday to Friday.
The pharmacist holds a weekly hypertension clinic.
Diabetes clinic is held regularly.
Appointments for chronic disease reviews are also available. If this affects you, you will receive a letter regarding this.
