Driving Directions
Located in the former A.S. Varn & Son Oyster and Crab Factory, close to Moon River Marsh and east of Savannah, guests can discover coastal Georgia’s rich Gullah-Geechee culture. Visitors can develop an understanding of the historical experience of growing up in Pin Point, a community founded by formerly enslaved African Americans and their descendants in the 1890s. Exhibits and guided tours focus on religion, language, food, and more, featuring the stories of residents who grew up in this small, close-knit community.
