Our specialist
Student Wellbeing Services
staff provide information, guidance, advice and practical support to students who identify as disabled including specific learning difficulties, mental health conditions, medical conditions, physical/vision/hearing impairments and students who are neurodivergent.
Support is available 24/7
to everyone in our community, no matter how you identify or what you’re going through.

Students' Union
Student Networks exist to represent a range of liberation groups, including the Disabled Student Network, BAME Student Network, Women’s Network, Multi-Faith Network, LGBT+ Network, Mental Health Network and Afro Caribbean Society.

Staff networks
Our staff networks aim to build supportive communities, and influence University policy and practice to foster an inclusive work environment.
These include an LGBTQ+ Staff Network, a Disabled Staff Network, a Women's Staff Network, and the Global Inclusivity Network for staff who identify as being Black, Asian, mixed race, or from another minoritised ethnicity background. We also have a Staff Equalities Network for colleagues interested in activism and enacting change at a grassroots level.

Dr Stephanie Greshon
Stephanie is Senior Lecturer in Conservation Biology, and also works as an ecological consultant. Her extensive industry experience has inspired her to support the Women in Ecology mentoring scheme, helping students to prepare for careers in ecology.
