Key Stage 4 Curriculum
Years 9 & 10
As pupils move from Year 8 into Year 9, they take a narrower range of subjects and specialise in their strength areas.
There are a number of subjects which are compulsory at key stage 4.
Mathematics & Numeracy
Double Science or Seperate Sciences (Triple Science)
Welsh
Religion, Values and Ethics
Sport & Games
Wellbeing
Pupils are able to select four other subjects from a wide range of academic and vocational courses. These are detailed on the
Year 8 options
page.
In some subject areas, pupils are ‘fast-tracked’ through two subject areas within one option line. For example, Art & Design and Graphics or Graphic Products and Engineering
