It’s been 40 years since Phoenix Children’s opened within Good Samaritan Hospital as a “hospital within a hospital” and only 20 years since we embarked on building Arizona’s first and only freestanding pediatric hospital. Now, we’re a world-class pediatric healthcare system with renowned programs and centers of excellence; earning a host of clinical accreditations and accolades; recruiting top physicians, executives and researchers; and growing our large and integrated medical group to ensure coordinated, consistent care delivery.

Research at Phoenix Children’s
The Phoenix Children’s Research Institute at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix is committed to finding as many new cures and improved treatments as possible for children with devastating childhood illnesses.
Community Health Improvement
As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) hospital, Phoenix Children’s conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years. Priorities identified in this report help guide our health system’s community health improvement programs and community benefit activities, as well as collaborative efforts with other organizations that share a mission to improve health.
