gOVERNANCE
The governance of the Institute for Industrial Technology (IIT) is built on transparency, accountability, and commitment to quality TVET.
As a private, not-for-profit institution, IIT ensures ethical leadership and effective resource management. Its governance body includes industry leaders, education experts, and professionals who provide strategic direction.
This framework safeguards IIT’s values, promotes collaboration with stakeholders, and ensures sustainability. All decisions remain aligned with our vision of forming competent, principled, and industry-ready professionals for Nigeria.
oWNERSHIP
Institute for Industrial Technology is owned by the Incorporated Trustees of African Development Foundation (ADF); a non-profit foundation registered in Nigeria in 1994.
The Trustees of the Foundation hold legal title to all the property of the Institute. Their main function is to ensure that the Institute remains faithful to its founding ideals and objectives without interfering in its governance and respecting its character as a Training institution.
In order to carry out this function they are given by the Foundation’s Constitution the power to appoint and remove the Director of the Institute and the members of the Governing Council, to amend the Constitution, dispose of land and buildings of the Institute and order a visitation into the affairs of the Institute whenever they consider it necessary. All other powers in relation to the governance and management of the Institute are delegated to the Governing Council and through it to the other bodies created by the Constitution.
