Program Review
Program review includes the production of a detailed self-study, a site visit and
report from an external review team, feedback from faculty governance bodies (Long
Range Planning Council, Assessment Committee, and Undergraduate and/or Graduate Academic
Council), and recommendations from the Office of the Provost to guide programs in
closing the loop.
The goals of program review are to:
Improve student learning and the educational experience
Assess program quality and effectiveness
Reflect on the alignment of program goals with the institutional mission and strategic
initiative
Provide data and evidence to support programmatic and institutional planning, budgeting,
and decision-making.
