The Training and Placement cell, affectionately was developed with an eye to enable us to see eye to eye with the industry at all times, about all matters – be it regarding turning out industry-ready students with the right blend of academic and personal skills or providing a conduit for placement of students at the end of their sojourn at the Institute or for providing an interface for the ex-students willing to suggest ways and means of adapting the curriculum or the emphasis to the ever-changing requirements of the industry.
The Cell acquittals three fold tasks, to name: Training, Placement & Association with the Alumni. The Alumni are closely associated with the working of the Cell. They regularly visit the university and share their invaluable experience with their juniors. This interaction helps boost confidence amongst the students and develop the right frame of mind to sit for placement interviews.
The Cell diversifies into providing training in other important areas like Business English Communication, Oracle, Java, .Net, Python, AI, Data Science, GRE, TOEFL etc, with the help of the eminent faculty members and also sends all its students for summer training and exposure to industry. The success of its placement wing lies in getting our students admitted in top-notch companies in India and abroad-NASA, Boeing, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, CTS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Mindtree, Hexaware, Cavisson, Huawei, Milliman, Honeywell, HCL, Hindustan Motors, Piaggio, JK Paper Mills, Sterlite group, My Home Construction, Samsung, Jindal Saw to name a few.
More than 100 companies visit GIETU during the placement session. Students can choose from a plethora of companies, industries that visit the campus. The industries come under different previews like Public Sector Undertakings (PSU), Core Engineering Industries, IT and IT-enabled services, consultancy firms, and banking. The students can choose their area of interest in which they wish to pursue their careers.

Pre-Placement Training Program
The Pre Placement Training aimed at sharpening the skills of individual’s for success in placement tests. The program spans across days with experts with relevant experience from the industry enabling the transition from college life to corporate ready individuals. A perfect blend of soft skills and relevant information ensures that the students develop confidence and are ready to face the selection process.
All companies which recruit students from various technical institutes look for different technical skills and personality traits before making an offer to the students. In order to sharpen their technical skills and polish their communication skills and make them ready for the corporate world, GIETU offer different training programmes which are tailor-made for each student. These programs aim at preparing the students from a campus point of view. Training is arranged to appear for Graduate Record Examination and Test of English as a Foreign Language tests.

STEP ONE
Companies wishing to visit GIETU, Gunupur for campus placements should communicate to SPOC of GIETU.
STEP TWO
The Training and Placement Cell will send an invitation mail to the company within 24 hrs seeking essential information about the job profile and other relevant details.
STEP THREE
Date of Campus visit will be negotiated with the Training and Placements Cell and a SPOC will be allotted for the purpose.
STEP FOUR
Companies’ entire schedule will be managed by the SPOC allotted to them. Companies can organize their placement session as per their convenience using the facilities available at our campus.
STEP FIVE
Once the recruitment process is over, the Company needs to declare the final selection list on spot or through e-mail.
STEP SIX
The Company can rollout the offers on spot or can send within a reasonable span of time.
STEP SEVEN
The Training and Placement Department will be communicating the acceptance of the offers by the candidates and ensure to make them reach to the company on the date assigned for joining.
