Claudiu
Don't be afraid to ask questions, be confident in yourself and remember, everything takes time so be patient too."
Hope
The class sizes are smaller so there's plenty of one-to-one support and the range of equipment you can use is fantastic."
Kinga
The help here was great and I really felt part of a closely knit group. Everyone on the course supported each other which is probably why we all did so well."
Jessica
The mix of coursework and exams really suited me and the placement allowed to experiment more than I would in the classroom which accelerated my learning."
Luke
There is a relationship you can build with tutors here where you feel like you can always reach out for help with anything."
Oliver
Doing a placement gave me a better insight into the kinds of careers I could go into. Before I started I wanted to become a midwife but I realised through the placement that a healthcare assistant was a better fit for me."
Molly
See your tutor as someone who is there to help and support you. You don't have to 'perform' like you may have felt you had to do in school. You're here to learn and the environment really supports that."
Tom
The small class sizes meant I got to know my fellow students and tutors really well. I also enjoyed the fact that the course was very hands-on."
Ferne
The learning environment is fun and the tutors are really supportive."
Deetray
The tutors are great, very supportive and push you to perform to the best of your ability. It's also really friendly and everyone gets on."

About the School Liaison Team
Student Case Study - Tia
Tia has just completed her T Level in Primary Teaching at B&FC and was delighted to find out that she had achieved a Distinction (equivalent to 3 As at A Level) when the final results came out. This was especially pleasing for Tia who had studied the first year of her course elsewhere and nearly failed.
At B&FC, however, she found the tutors truly inspirational and particularly enjoyed her T Level placement at a local school where she was able to put so much of what she'd learnt into practice and also acquire numerous practical skills from the teachers there.
Tia is now off to study a degree in primary education at university with a place guaranteed by her T Level success. Asked whether she'd recommend the qualifcation to others, Tia didn't hesitate:
"I'd 100% recommend T Levels to anyone who was thinking of doing one."
Student Case Study - Ray
Ray struggled at school and was worried about what the future might hold. He'd always been interested in cars so an automotive course at the college seemed like the best option.
Even though he had to go back to basics, Ray really shone. He loved his course and the help he got with the English and maths made all the difference. His tutors couldn't speak more highly of him so it came as no surprise that he stood out when Halfords paid the College a visit. In fact, they were so impressed they offered him an apprenticeship!
"I've really enjoyed College. I'm more of a hands-on person so being here has been much better for me than school and I've been able to focus more. I was so excited to be chosen as an apprentice and really don't think I would have got that opportunity anywhere else."
