Lower School Athletics
Good Sportsmanship, Collaboration & Physical Development
The athletics program in Lower School provides opportunities for boys in Kindergarten through fourth grade to participate in school-sponsored athletics teams. All boys who wish to participate are welcomed onto a parent volunteer-led team. Lower School athletics focus on the development and formation of the Five
Sacred Heart Goals
in each player.
Boys learn how to approach competition with passion, grace and humility; how to work as part of a team; and how to practice good sportsmanship.
The program in Lower School emphasizes physical, mental and social development for athletes and coaches alike. Each player has the opportunity to develop his self-esteem in a fun, collaborative and competitive environment. The program at this level also allows for equal playing time for all athletes.

Parent volunteers coach all Lower School co-curricular teams. Parents interested in participating as a volunteer coach should contact
Regis athletics faculty
for more information. All parent coaches are required to complete the
Safeguarding God's Children
program as required by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
In an effort to provide the most positive experience for our students, Regis has partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). The PCA is a Stanford University based non–profit organization that works with coaches and parents to help teach young athletes not only to win, but also to learn about teamwork, discipline, and respect through their sports experience.
The enrollment fee for Regis Lower School co-curricular sports is $215 per athlete per sport. Fees go toward uniforms, team and individual photos, Spirit shirt, league registration, officials, and training aids.
