A full range of support and resources
In addition to our advanced treatment options, we offer a full range of preventative care, support and resources to help you get ahead of cancer or manage the challenges it can present. Learn more below.
Prevention and early detection
Clinical studies prove that early detection of cancer greatly increases your chance of successful treatment. That’s why we encourage annual screenings and utilize the most advanced diagnostic technologies for detecting the smallest, early-stage cancers. These include 3D mammograms for breast care, MRIs, and CT scans, colonoscopies, and more.
We also offer a free breast cancer early detection program for people without health coverage.
In addition, we offer genetic testing which can detect if you have an increased risk of cancer based on your genes and family history. If so, we can develop a preventative action plan.
Plus, your primary care provider can advise you on lifestyle and dietary choices to reduce your risk of cancer.
Rehabilitation services
Some cancer treatments can come with side effects that limit your quality of life. That’s why we offer a range of rehabilitation and therapeutic services to help you resolve or cope with them. This includes infusion therapies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutritional counseling, medical devices, and medications.
Supporting the whole you: body, mind, and spirit
One of the hallmarks of Adventist Health is our emphasis on whole person care. This means we care not only for your physical health, but also your emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness. And nowhere is this more valuable than in cancer care. Between the feelings of vulnerability and enduring the side effects of treatment, cancer can take a toll on your emotional and mental wellness. That’s why we offer everything from social workers and support groups to pastoral care to help you find hope and fortitude from treatment through survivorship.
Bilingual support
Since many of our patients are Spanish speaking, we offer a bilingual clinical team as well as a free Latina breast cancer support group, conducted in Spanish.
