Submit the
Online Application
The first step in the enrollment process is to create a portal and fill out the online application, which takes approximately 10 minutes.
Register for an Admissions Assessment
Applicants in Kindergarten-5th grade will be contacted by the Admission Office to schedule assessment and required Shadow Day. 6th-12th grade applicants must register for the online Admission Assessment which is used as an evaluation tool. To schedule an assessment, contact Jessica at

Provide Academic History
Academic history includes transcripts/report cards and test scores for the previous three years and may be uploaded directly to the online application for admission.
Math and English Teacher Recommendations
Teacher recommendations for grades 6-12 can be emailed directly to the teacher from the online application. Parent and/or personal letter of recommendations are optional and may be uploaded directly to the online application.
Health Forms
Required documents include copies of birth certificate, Florida immunization form, and a recent Florida School Health Entry Form (physical) that may be obtained from your child's pediatrician.
Admission Interview
Students in grades 6-12 will have a virtual interview with the Director of Admission.  Pre-K parents will meet virtually with the Pre-K Director. All interviews are schedule from the online application
Homeschool Students
International Students
Maclay School welcomes the opportunity to review the unique profile offered by homeschooled applicants.  In addition to the Applicant Information Form, Extracurricular Recommendation, Testing, Student Essays, and optional Parent Statement, please submit the following information to assist the Admission Committee in its review:
School Report Form: In place of this form, the adult(s) responsible for the homeschooling of the applicant should submit the following documentation:
Philosophy - What philosophy or state law guides your approach to homeschooling? How long has the applicant been homeschooled?  Are there other siblings or students involved?
Curriculum - What texts and resources have been used last year and this year in the applicant's homeschooling experience? Please provide syllabi, if available. To facilitate our review of coursework completed, please list the last two years of covered subjects in a one-page format similar to a traditional transcript.
Transcripts: Please submit grades for the last year of academic work plus current grades to date. Grades may be in alphabetic, numeric, or narrative form. Also, include grades for any classes taken or being taken at other academic institutions. Please submit official documentation and grades relating to any online courses.
English and Math Recommendations: It is appropriate for the parent to complete the recommendation form if he/she is the teacher.
Outside Recommendations: Please submit additional letters of recommendation from adults, other than the homeschool teacher, who are familiar with the applicant's academic ability.

Admission Requirements of International Students:
Complete Maclay School Application
International Applicants applying to grades 6th-8th (middle school) will need to take the TOEFL Junior Test.
At least one year prior in a U.S. school is preferred.
Maclay School does not accept International Students applying to the 12th grade (we cannot accept seniors who are attending college in the US)
Upper School Admission Test
Virtual student interview with the Admissions Committee and Division Director.
Deadline for admission is July 1st each year for the fall term to ensure adequate time for the student to process I-20 and arrive on campus for Orientation (Maclay School does not enroll Upper School International Students in the second semester).
Arrive at Maclay School for Middle/Upper School orientation in order to meet with Admissions, Division Director, and Guidance Counselor.
