Working with HEE London Capital Doctors: AI, Innovation and the Future of Training
This event is designed specifically for resident doctors working in and around London. Its focus is practical and clinically grounded: demystifying AI and demonstrating how it is already being used across the capital to support doctors and improve patient care.
Through short talks, case studies and discussion, capital doctors involved in AI‑enabled initiatives will share their experiences — from AI‑assisted diagnostics and imaging, to tools that support rota planning, workload management and clinical decision‑making. The emphasis will be on learning from real examples within the NHS, rather than abstract theory.
The day is designed to:
Introduce practical, clinician‑friendly AI fundamentals, covering key regulatory, ethical and medicolegal issues
Clarify essential knowledge for safe day‑to‑day AI use including clinical decision support and risk prediction
Build AI literacy for safe, responsible deployment focussing on patient safety in the digital age
Offer breakout sessions on education, careers, innovation & a hackathon
Include poster presentations and Dragons’ Den competition
