Advanced Manufacturing & Welding tends to attract those who have the curiosity and willingness to experiment. They like to try new things, fail, and then problem-solve until they arrive at the optimal solution. They like to pursue the satisfaction that comes with designing a product, process, or system and see it come to life in a tangible way.
Students prepare for a wide variety of design, technology, and engineering positions, creating high-precision, high-quality products across a range of industries. Students master the latest technologies from several disciplines and collaborate with students from across the College.
Dunwoody’s lab spaces feature state-of-the-moment equipment, much of it donated by industry partners like Zeiss, Haas Automation, and Lincoln Electric. Instructors have industry experience and professional certifications. They work closely with industry leaders to make sure curriculum and equipment align with the current and future state of manufacturing.
