The Catawba College Shuford School of Performing Arts will present the Catawba Singers in “Our Song XI” on Sunday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in Keppel Auditorium, located in the Robertson College-Community Center on the Catawba College campus.
Now in its 11th year,
Our Song XI
is a cherished annual concert tradition that gives members of the Catawba Singers the opportunity to help shape the repertoire for the ensemble’s final performance of the academic year. The program reflects the voices and interests of the students themselves, creating a meaningful and celebratory close to the season.
This year’s concert will feature selections spanning a variety of musical styles, including Broadway, gospel, classic choral literature, and newer choral works. The program will also include a Senior Showcase, highlighting graduating singers in solo and ensemble performances as they mark the culmination of their time at Catawba.
The Catawba Singers are directed by Dr. Phillip E. Burgess, dean of the Catawba College Shuford School of Performing Arts, and accompanied by Laurie Klauss, collaborative pianist at Catawba College.
The 75-minute performance is free and open to the public.
