Our School of Law Moot Team is now in Oxford, UK, competing in the Price Media Law Moot World Round against 30 teams from across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. For the past three days, the team has settled into an intense rhythm, early mornings flowing into long hours of research, where arguments are rigorously tested, dismantled, and rebuilt. As they enter the first round of their preliminaries today, Africa University carries the weight of a continent, showcasing a remarkable demonstration of legal talent, intellectual rigor, and the capacity to compete at the highest levels both on the continent and the global stage.

For the past three days, the team has settled into an intense rhythm, early mornings flowing into long hours of research, where arguments are rigorously tested, dismantled, and rebuilt. As they enter the first round of their preliminaries today, Africa University carries the weight of a continent, showcasing a remarkable demonstration of legal talent, intellectual rigor, and the capacity to compete at the highest levels both on the continent and the global stage.

Aligned with Africa University’s 2023–2027 Strategic Plan, the workshop directly advances Goal 1: Student Access and Success and Goal 5: Internationalisation of Research, Teaching and Learning. By strengthening consistency in assessment practices, the initiative enhances reliability, transparency, and fairness in marking, ensuring that every student’s performance is evaluated with integrity and precision.
This important step not only safeguards the credibility of the University’s qualifications but also contributes to a more robust, globally-aligned academic experience.
