A Level Results
Sir William Perkins’s School prides itself not only on excellent academic outcomes but also on the achievements students make and the experiences they have outside of the classroom.
Oxbridge
We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students who applied to Oxbridge this year.
Following interviews, 100% of applicants received offers, across highly competitive subjects including Medicine, Linguistics (Cambridge), Biology, English and PPE (Oxford).
This achievement reflects the depth of academic ambition at SWPS, supported by expert teaching, tailored guidance and a Sixth Form experience that encourages students to think deeply, challenge themselves and pursue their aspirations with confidence.
Congratulations to our students on this outstanding success.

96% of students secured a place at their chosen universities
Students at Sir William Perkins’s School in Chertsey are celebrating exceptional A Level results this year, with overall results exceeding those of recent years. 86% of all grades achieved were A*- B and 63% of grades awarded were A*- A. Nearly half of students secured all A* and A grades in the subjects they studied.
“Our students have shown remarkable determination and depth of character. Their achievements across the board are a credit to their hard work and the values we hold dear at SWPS. There are some incredible personal success stories behind these headlines which are testament to our individualised approach to teaching and learning. At SWPS we are not just preparing students for exams – we are preparing them for life.” said Debbie Picton, Head
This year’s results are a powerful endorsement of the SWPS ethos – where academic excellence is nurtured alongside personal growth, and where students are encouraged to be generous in spirit, independent in thought, and bold in aspiration.
Our students have excelled across the curriculum, with particularly strong performances in STEAM subjects including Art, Technology, Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. Maths is the most popular subject at A Level, with 92% of grades awarded as A*- B. 78% of Art & Design grades were A*- A and Computer Science and Design Technology grades awarded were 100% A*- A. Results were strong too in languages and English Literature, with all subjects achieving 100% A*- B. These results affirm SWPS’s reputation as a school that champions innovation, critical thinking and communication skills, preparing students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
We are delighted to share that a number of students have secured places at highly competitive institutions here and abroad including Oxford and a top US college, continuing our tradition of success at the highest academic level. These achievements reflect not only individual brilliance but also the strength of our teaching, mentoring and support systems.
SWPS’s Sixth Form offers a rich and personalised academic experience, with opportunities to pursue the Extended Project Qualification, Core Maths, and a fourth A Level. Students are encouraged to explore their passions, challenge themselves, and contribute meaningfully to the school community. Our 2025 EPQ students achieved 100% A*- B grades in their projects.
As the school continues to celebrate its 300th anniversary and moving towards the transition to full co-education and welcoming boys into Years 7 and 12 next September, these results are a powerful reminder of what makes SWPS unique: a forward-thinking, inclusive and nurturing environment where every student is known, valued and inspired.
Director of Sixth Form, Mat Dodd, added: “These results are a celebration of our students’ spirit and the collective effort of our staff and families. At SWPS, we believe in empowering young people to be ambitious not only for themselves but for the world around them. Today, we celebrate their success – and the bright futures they are stepping into.”
