After School Care (Age 3-11)
After School Care (ASC)
is designed to support our families needing supervision for their children once school finishes at 15.00. It is open until 18:00 to accommodate the schedule of our working parents and provides a safe, caring and engaging environment for their children.
After School Care is offered Monday through to Thursday, 15:00-18:00 throughout the school year except during school vacation, teacher training days  and public holidays.

ISH’s After School Care
(ASC)
provides a caring, safe and stimulating
learning environment for all students who attend the program. It is designed to
support students' well-being, learning and development.
Mission and Vision-based:

Student-driven:
Students in ASC have choice and voice over their learning as they collaborate with ASC
staff to extend their life skills and develop dispositions of global citizenship.During After School Care, students develop their interests and explore possibilities.
Collaborative:
Our program provides students time and place to collaborate with each other and staff to organise activities and opportunities meaningful to them in order to help them grow and have fun!
Our ASC provides:
Experiences that are meaningful, educational and acknowledge the importance of play and leisure in a student’s life.
A balanced program with age-appropriate learning experiences
Students with freedom of choice in their experiences
Opportunities for student-initiated planning
Homework support for students in Grades 3-5 as needed
Transition support for students who are enrolled in any ACAP and/or MEP activities. We will help students to transfer to/from to their ACAP or MEP activity and then return safely to the ASC program.

Outside play and environment exploration
Cooking
Board games
Dance, sport and movement activities
Yoga/mindfulness
Interactive read a louds

Our After School Program Coordinator, Samuel Vink,  is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program. Our friendly team of After School Care Educators all have experience working with children. Alongside their existing qualifications, educators receive yearly child safeguarding, data protection and first aid training.
The ASC program offers two pricing options which vary depending on your need. Once you have registered your child, you will be invoiced until the end of the current trimester. The total invoiced amount will be calculated based on the selected package and by how many weeks are in the trimester.
After School Care is also available for non-ISH students
After School Care fees are non-refundable. This includes closure of the school due to force majeure or for example the result of extreme weather conditions. The same applies to the short or long term suspension or (final) expulsion of the student and the ensuing termination of the contract with ISH.
The contractual parties accept the current and any future
Safety Regulations
which apply to conduct on the school grounds determined by ISH.
In accordance with the
Safety Policy/Regulations
of ISH any family who wishes to engage private personal security personnel on the grounds of ISH must inform the After School Care Coordinator, who acts in the name of the school. Contact details of the responsible representative of this private security company must be provided in order to avoid any potential conflict between these distinct security concepts. If the presence of any such private security personnel has not been officially sanctioned, ISH is entitled to deny access to the school grounds to any individual from such a company.
Data collected and processed in the provision of the After School Care Programme is governed by the school's
Data Privacy Notices.
ISH may take legitimate disciplinary measures. This also applies to afternoon care. For further details please consult the current School Handbooks and the
After School Care Handbook (when it is available!).
The liability of ISH, its legal representatives and its agents for property and asset damage to the contractual parties of ISH is limited to intent and gross negligence. ISH shall not be liable for any damage caused by accident or third parties to property that students bring to school or for the loss of such property. ISH recommends that the contractual parties of ISH should take out a suitable liability insurance to cover any potential damage.
The student is covered by statutory accident insurance (SGB VII) during school hours, on his/her direct way to and from school as well as during school events. Over and above that, ISH has not taken out any further accident insurance policies.
