ACCREDITATION INFORMATION
“I have had an excellent experience at PCOM South Georgia, and a large part of that
is due to the community of Moultrie welcoming us with open arms and investing heavily
in our education and success. This community makes us feel wanted and appreciated,
and we are grateful in return.”
Matthew Peterman (DO '25), medical student
“To see the energy around PCOM is amazing. Seeing so many students from South Georgia
and the state of Georgia who are going to medical school that wouldn't normally be
able to go has just been amazing.”
Jim Matney, CEO of Colquitt Regional Medical Center
“I loved my time at PCOM South Georgia in Moultrie and will forever cherish all the
incredible relationships and memories I made here… I would highly recommend this school,
specifically the South Georgia campus, to anyone pursuing a career as a physician.”
Will Brewster, DO '23
"The small class sizes and close-knit community at PCOM South Georgia have made this
school feel like home to me. This was a big change for me since I was coming from
a large university where a sense of community was difficult to find.”
Cole DeMott, MS/Biomed '23
“[PCOM South Georgia] felt like home whenever I visited. I saw the diversity of the
student population here, and it is here—smack dab in the middle of the community that
I want to serve.”
Mauricio Soto (DO '27), medical student
“I grew up witnessing the challenges many South Georgians faced by being rural and
medically underserved… I chose PCOM South Georgia because it is close to my hometown
of Valdosta, Georgia, and the school is embedded directly in the heart of the region
I'd like to serve one day.”
Macy Rowan, DO '24
"It's an experience you can't get anywhere else… Being somewhere that's so small but
that's also as tight-knit as PCOM South Georgia."
Justin Nguyen (DO '27)
“PCOM South Georgia provides a unique opportunity to serve a diverse and often underserved
rural population. This aligns with my passion for public health and my desire to make
a tangible impact in communities that need it the most.”
Shahrzad Zamani (DO '25)
“I chose PCOM South Georgia for its proximity to my family, but also because a student
encouraged me to apply and spoke highly of the support she received during her tenure
here.”
Alleluia Nishimwe (DO '26)
