LJCDS Career Opportunities
We love what we do, do you?
At La Jolla Country Day School, we believe PreK-12 education sets the foundation for the success of this nation. Consistently ranked as a top-ranked independent school, LJCDS is San Diego’s only independent school to house students from age 3 to Grade 12 on one campus. Whether an educator or a staff member, we make a difference in students' lives every day. We equip our students with resources and mentors so that they can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Our community is fueled by a remarkable team of faculty and staff members who bring passion, heart, care and joy into the work they do every day. Join us at La Jolla Country Day School and become a part of an extraordinary educational community where we lay the foundation for a brighter future together.

Daniella Avilés
Upper School World Language Educator
I enjoy the close connections we are able to build with our students and the long-lasting relationships we establish with our students, even after they graduate. I appreciate the collaborative environment and supportive community. The Upper School World Language department supports risk-taking and is always striving to be innovative and work as a team to make our program better.
Damien Fatongia
Managing Director of College Counseling
Every day I partner with community members to create an educational environment that helps students become the best versions of themselves. I would describe the culture of LJCDS as understanding, accepting and people-centered. Whether it's students, faculty, or staff members, the wellness of our community members are at the center of all decisions that are made.
Amy Rohrbach '97
Learning Resource Center Coordinator
I am inspired to learn and grow every day through collaboration with my peers and interactions with students. The culture at LJCDS is inclusive and values collaboration, empathy, support, trust, and respect. LJCDS is dedicated to preparing students to become agents of change to make the world a better place. I am proud to be an alum and parent of two LJCDS students.
