Recognition of Support
The museum offers several meaningful ways for donors to be recognized for their contributions. The Heritage Builders program honors individuals who commit to a planned gift by signing a Confidential Bequest Intention form, with recognition through a Heritage Builders plaque. The Wall of Honor celebrates the legacy of Danish immigrants by displaying their names, city, state, and year of immigration on permanent plaques, with contributors acknowledged in the MoDA Magazine and Annual Report. Additionally, donations made in memory or in honor of others will be recognized in the MoDA Magazine, offering a lasting tribute to those honored.

All contributions during a
calendar year
are cumulative for recognition purposes. The name of each donor will be recognized at least once annually in the printed Annual Report. There are nine levels of recognition, based upon total ANNUAL contributions:

All members contributing $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund during the calendar year will be recognized in the
Annual Report
as members of the
Annual Leadership Society
Heritage Builders
A donor who makes known a planned gift to the museum and signs a
Confidential Bequest Intention
form while living, will be recognized with a
Heritage Builders
plaque. This shall apply to both irrevocable and revocable gifts alike.
Lifetime Legacy Giving
Members of the
Lifetime Legacy Giving
(formerly known as
Lifetime Leadership Society
) are recognized for cumulative gifts of $25,000 or more to the Museum of Danish America. Their names are listed on the Lifetime Legacy Giving recognition display plaque located within the museum. There are five levels of recognition, based upon total LIFETIME contributions:
