The Clear Spring Way
What?
Progressive education is student centered, project based learning experience based on John Dewey's educational philosophy. Students will actively engage in the learning experience when provided with higher quality learning environments. All subjects are integrated into the block theme and balanced with hands-on and in person experiences.
How?
* Smaller class sizes with mixed ages allowing for more individualized learning experiences, enriched classroom discussions, and cooperative learning.
* Our classrooms do not have four walls. We utilize the natural wonder of the Ozarks, the vibrant local community, weekly field trips, and bi-annual school camping trips.
Why?
Providing higher quality learning experiences that encourage students to take more initiative in their educational development, build their self awareness, and create a stronger sense of community. Students develop a lifelong love of learning and wonder.
