Summer Reading – Brownell Library
Summer Reading
Every summer in mid-June, Brownell Library kicks off the summer reading program. What follows is weeks of fun and educational activities that celebrate reading and community. All registered participants who turn in a reading log (any reading log, not just the “official” Brownell log) are entered into a prize drawing with winners announced at our Summer Reading Party in August.
Teens in grades 6 through 12 can participate in the summer reading program and earn raffle tickets by reading books and attending or volunteering for events. All teen summer reading participants will be invited to a teen party at the end of the summer when raffle winners will be announced.
The 2026 Summer Reading Theme is
Unearth A Story
. A program brochure and registration forms for both participants and teen volunteers will be released at the beginning of June.
