About Us
Mission & Vision
Motto
The University Was established under the Nasarawa State Law No. 2 of 2001 (see 2.2) as passed by the State House of Assembly. The University came into existence under the visionary and dynamic administration of Governor. (Dr) Abdullahi Adamu (Sarkin Yakin Keffi, Aare Obateru of the source, Ile-Ife), the first democratically elected Governor of Nasarawa State.
Our Mission is “To provide and promote qualitative, innovative and stimulating teaching, learning and research environment to enable individuals develop their full potentials for efficient, effective, dedicated and selfless service to the State, the Nation and Humanity”.
Our Vision is “To be a world class Centre of Excellence for the development of the individual and society”.
The motto of the University is
“Knowledge for development”
. It is an indication of the resolve of the University to provide such knowledge that would lead to the social economic and technological development of the State and the country as a whole.
