New Student Application Process
(For high school and GED graduates)
Submit the
Application for Admissions
Pay the one-time $25 application fee at the time of your application.
Take the
ACCUPLACER® placement test
and/or turn in SAT, ACT, ASSET or COMPASS® scores. NOTE: Students may review the
Placement Requirements
to see alternative placement options. Please see an ATC Admissions counselor for more information.
Submit official High School / GED® Transcript.
Previous college transcripts are not required for admissions, however official transcripts from previous colleges attended must be submitted if:
Students are requesting to have prior college credit evaluated for transfer (transcripts must be received from the college where the credit was earned).
Intend on using a funding source that requires the evaluation of prior college credit, such as HOPE Scholarship or Veterans Educational Benefits, must submit all post-secondary transcripts along with their admission application.
Students utilizing previous college work for placement purposes or to waive the high school/high school equivalency requirement.
Previous college transcripts may be required for competitive health admissions.

Georgia Residency / Verification of Lawful Presence
in the US.
Transfer Application Process
(For students who have previously attended a college or university)
Submit the
Application for Admissions
Pay the one-time $25 application fee at the time of your application.
Submit official transcripts from ALL colleges attended.
Students who wish to have prior college credit evaluated for transfer or intend on using a funding source that requires the evaluation of prior college credit, such as HOPE Scholarship or Veterans Educational Benefits, must submit all post-secondary transcripts along with their admission application.
If you have not successfully completed college-level English composition and college-level math at your previous institution, you must take the

*SAT/ACT scores of 1200/26 are required for 10th-grade students choosing Associate Degree level courses.
Transient Student Application Process
(For students enrolled at another college/university wishing to transfer ATC courses)
Submit the
Application for Admissions
Pay the one-time $25 application fee at the time of your application.
Submit official transient letter from your home institution
University of Georgia (UGA) students must also submit an official UGA transcript and a
UGA Transient Course Request Form
with the requested course(s) indicated.

Adult Education Student Application Process
(For students looking to enroll in High School Equivalency and ESL courses)

One of our instructors will reach out to you.
Upon acceptance, you will need to attend an orientation class at one of our instruction sites. You will complete an intake form and an assessment which will help us put you at the correct level of study.
Application Dates and Deadlines
Applications are accepted on a rolling admissions cycle. Some courses may be available for shorter terms that begin after the start of the semester. Programs may have specific start dates and deadlines. Please check with an admissions counselor or advisor for more information.
Spring 2026
applications are now open.
Classes will begin January 12, 2026.
Summer and Fall 2026
applications will open November 1, 2025.
